What does BenchSlate do?

BenchSlate is a mobile app for coaches to score players at tryouts against a weighted rubric and see ranked results right at the field or on the ice.

Who is it for?

Volunteer and paid coaches, league coordinators, convenors and league boards in any sport, from baseball to hockey, football to soccer.

How does weighted scoring work?

You decide how much each skill counts. Give hitting 40%, fielding 35% and running 25%, score each player, and BenchSlate turns those scores into one weighted total and a ranked list. Change a weight later and the ranking updates.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every score and note is saved on the phone as you enter it, so scoring, results and export all work with no signal.

Is the Android app available now?

BenchSlate is Android first and coming soon to Google Play. Email info@benchslate.app to try it early.

What about iPhone?

iPhone is coming. A release date isn’t confirmed yet.

What will it cost?

Price coming soon. Free and Paid details are still to be confirmed. The Pricing page will show them when they’re ready.

Do I need an account?

No. You can continue as a guest and everything stays on your phone. Signing in, with an emailed code or Google, is only needed to sync your tryouts between your own phones.

How is player data handled?

Player details stay on your phone unless you sign in with an account. You can delete your account and everything stored online from the app. See the Privacy page.

Who makes BenchSlate?

BenchSlate is made by Sixteen Mile Studio in Milton, Ontario. You can reach the team at info@benchslate.app.
